Newcomers
Hello, Kiokami here! Today is one of those amazing days we get to welcome a new roleplayer who has joined our site. Today, we welcome Cassio into the ranks of Sketchpack. Cassio responded to an advertisement on ChickenSmoothie, and was interested enough to join. Although we are a small group, we are now growing, slowly but surely. On behalf of Zoraz and Sky, we welcome you, Cassio. We are lucky to have you on the site, and hope you have a great future here with Sketchpack. Remember, if you need any help, just ask on the chatbox, or PM me on CS! Welcome !

Desire looked up sharply and then stood, staring into the forest. She was most often chosen by the alpha to be in border patrols and was often on guard out of habit. She listened a moment but mainly her nose sought out two scents.
"Sorry, Ardal, I have to go!" she leapt out of the clearing and into the forest. She had scented two wolves that she didn't recognize just outside of the clearing and she sniffed them out quickly. As they neared she stepped out from behind the cover of the brush beside the cliffs.
"Who are you? State your business--you're on Sketchpack territory!"

Anlage felt pride as he introduced the newest members of the pack, Nera, Ananza and Vikol. He started the symbolic howl and the pack howled with him. Every face was smiling at the newcomers. Newcomers meant more mouths to feed, but it also meant stronger forces, better hunting parties and better defenses. Anlage dipped his head to his pack and then turned and jumped high onto the ledge above the den.
The pressing issue of a beta for Sketchpack gnawed at his mind. It had been peaceful enough around the forest, but if they were attacked or suffered losses he needed a second in command to control the pack. From his perch he could watch each wolf interact. Ekron and the black newcomer, Raiden had gone out on a brief patrol.
Sketchpack was certainly gaining in popularity by loners at least, though some said they had come from nearby packs.
How close is "nearby"? Anlage wondered. He had traveled during his adolescent years, but not very far out of the territory. He had heard howls in the distance, but mountain ranges and cliffs played tricks on sound waves, bending and twisting them, sometimes making them seem close--other times far away. His eyes drifted to the setting sun and with a sigh he lay his head down on his paws and drifted asleep to the sound of distant howls in his head.

Ananza looked around in wonder and joy. It had been moons since she had experienced friendship and camaraderie, she had almost forgotten what it was like. It had been a hard life so far, but now she could sharpen her skills. Glancing at the other newcomers, Ananza felt a stab of sorrow. "They've always had each other," she thought. But maybe it was a new dawn for her. She could make new friends and be happy. So Ananza walked over to the newcomers, and said, "Hello! As you know, I'm Ananza! Nice to meet you! This sure is exciting, isn't it? Maybe we can become friends!" Soon she was skipping around, saying hello to everyone she saw. But she looked out, and saw the beautiful forest. "Maybe someone can show me around...This place really is beautiful..." So she padded up to Nera and Vikol and said, " Hey, would you like to view the territory together? Maybe we can get someone who can show us around. What do you think?"
Desire smiled at Ananza from across the camp clearing and padded over, hearing their conversation.
"Hello Ananza, and welcome to Sketchpack! You guys are clear to check out the territory, but not without a guide at first," she flicked her ears and tossed her head towards the forest.
"We have a large territory and though it's easy to scent out the boundaries it's better to be shown around by a pack member. " she explained. She grinned at Nera and Vikol.
"If you guys want, I'm leading a patrol, the last one of tonight, so if you all want to come along you're welcome to."
Ananza looked behind her, and looked, half-gaping for a moment, at the beautiful white wolf's shocking blue eyes. But Ananza recovered quickly, and exclaimed, "Of course! Thank you so much for the offer! I'd love to join, along with Nera and Vikol if everyone is alright with that. "This is so exciting," Ananza thought, " I hope we can be good friends." "My first time in a real pack patrol! Hooray!" Ananza voiced out loud, and smiled one of the biggest grins she had smiled since her family was together. Ananza knew it would be a new stage of her life, and bounded over to Desire in complete excitement and happiness.
Desire laughed at the newcomer's excitement.
"Ha ha ha! Alright, let's go." she grinned, also excited, and after a look at Ananza she broke into an easy lope towards the eastern territory. (continue to RP here, but soon we'll go to another page which will be the eastern territory. :) )
Ardal remained rolled over on his back, kicking lazily up at the sky. When he heard a rise in volume of idle chatter, he glanced over. Desire was talking with the other new wolves...Something about territory sight-seeing, or whatever. He smirked. If Maja was going to ignore him and be a lonesome prick and explore all by her lonesome self, he should be the ever-amazing-Ardal-who-loves-social-things.
The ever gregarious wolf swiftly rolled over and leapt to his paws, charging after the others who were leaving. "Woah there, Wolfies! Wait for me!" When he caught up to them he grinned his signature wolfish grin, "By the way, to those I haven't met, I'm Ardal, lovely coats by the way - and Desire, make sure not to get any mud on yours!"
Desire slowed to a walk, then turned and gave him a cool glance before turning back.
"Come along if you wish, but-" she paused, realizing she actually didn't have any rank over him except knowledge of the territory. She left her sentence hanging and kept walking.
Quite sure of himself. The white wolf's mind was like a pacing wolf, running back over different thoughts over and over again. This time thinking about this newcomer named Ardal.
Desire's eyes cut to the side and studied the male for a moment. We'll just see about that...
Ananza looked at the male wolf that had come. He looked like he had an attitude that said, "I am amazing and nothing can stop me!" Which Ananza liked, because that meant a new friend. Looking at Ardal, Ananza said, sarcastically, "Oh yeah. Desire's not going to get mud on her pelt, because this is the cleanesttttt pleace in the worldddd." Then Ananza said, "Where to next Desire? You're like a mini leader, always smart, and kind, and caring!" and trotted after Ardal and Desire, still grinning.
"I agree," Ardal said, chuckling some. The wolf took to an easy pace behind Desire; he briefly looked over his shoulder to see the other wolf who he couldn't recall meeting."Ah, and I never got your name by the way. You look like Kishee...my older brother. Same fur but different eyes. But you're much prettier than him, so don't be offended. Although, Kishee is quite dazzling with his feminine features..."
Desire growled at Ardal.
"You can keep your beauty-critiquing to yourself." she said sharply. She knew she truly had no real status over him, but if he wanted to resist, she was willing to fight it out for position over him. She had veered to the south-east direction and now she slowed.
"Come on, I can scent rabbits nearby. Maybe we can catch some for the pack."
